We go magnet fishing regularly and were disappointed with the poor quality of other equipment, so we decided to source the best magnet fishing equipment we could find and bring them together under the Paragon Magnets brand. All our magnet fishing equipment is top quality, tough and ideal for the job in hand. Everything we sell has been extensively tested by us, and everything we post out is individually quality checked This Paragon Pro kit is ideal for: Magnet fishing in canals, rivers, lakes and wells; Salvage and recovery of ferrous metal items; Treasure hunting and underwater metal detecting. The kit contains a powerful Neodymium magnet (choose one of three different sizes), 10m or 20m of heavy duty rope, an ultra strong steel clip, and a safety leaflet. We also sell a Deluxe magnet fishing kit which is similar to the Pro but comes with a pair of waterproof gloves, and with a stainless steel clip instead of a zinc coated steel one. ::: CUSTOMISE YOUR KIT ::: A choice of Neodymium magnets is available: The 60mm diameter magnet is extremely powerful for its size, with a maximum pull force of 135kg, and is a good beginner's magnet. The 75mm magnet has a max pull force of 200kg and a larger surface area, making it better for picking up heavier and more irregularly shaped items, and is the most common size used for magnet fishing. The 94mm magnet has massive pulling power of 300kg and a huge surface area, and is our top-of-the-range magnet The kit comes with either a 10m length of rope, good for magnet fishing in canals, rivers and lakes, or a more versatile 20m length. ::: TECHNICAL STUFF ::: We consider the design of our magnets to be the best available, with the casing machined from solid steel, and the stainless steel eyebolt going all the way through the casing and magnet for maximum strength and security. The casing and magnet are coated in multiple protective layers of copper and nickel to help prevent corrosion The rope is a premium marine-grade rope made of material that is both water repellent and rot resistant. It is also lightweight, enabling it to float on water, meaning it is less likely to snag on underwater objects. The 8mm diameter makes it more comfortable to hold and gives it more strength, with a breaking strain of around 630kg A steel clip is also provided in the kit, making it easier to attach and detach the magnet from the rope. This design of clip is much stronger than swing gate karabiner-style clips and has a breaking strain of around 1000kg. A good quality zinc coating helps protect the clip ::: NOTE ON MAGNET POWER ::: Neodymium magnets can be extremely difficult to detach from a thick piece of flat steel but, like all magnets, they will have less pulling power on thinner, smaller or irregular shaped metal ::: SAFETY INFORMATION ::: Please note that Neodymium magnets can grab onto objects suddenly and with a lot of force, and there is a risk of fingers getting trapped and hurt. For this reason, Neodymium fishing magnets are NOT RECOMMENDED for very young children, and adult supervision should be employed in other cases. Magnets can interfere with pacemakers and heart defibrillators, and can also damage magnetic storage (such as computer hard drives and credit cards), mechanical watches and small loudspeakers used in mobile devices. To prevent the risk of these, keep the magnet at least 2 feet away. The Nickel coating may cause skin problems for those with a Nickel allergy.
